The SIMCO 2800 has been a powerful tool for over 30 years. When big rig power in a compact package is needed to get the job done, the 2800 has always been one of the most reliable choices. Now SIMCO is offering the new PTO driven 2800 for higher horsepower-driven hydraulics to fit your drilling needs.
The SIMCO 2800 Water Well/Geothermal drill rig now comes in either a PTO driven or deck engine format. Each configuration offers distinct benefits and, as always, SIMCO can build a rig tailored to your specific business needs.
Powered by the Ram 5500 truck’s Cummins 6.7L Turbo Diesel Engine, the PTO Driven 2800 offers bigger hydraulics and more horsepower than ever before. It offers a 2×3 centrifugal mud pump with 400 gpm/250 psi capability as well as a development air package for water well development at 185 cfm/150 psi. The PTO driven 2800 is only available on the Ram 5500 Chassis, but provides increased power with larger hydraulics and an increased HP from the Cummins engine. If you’re looking for a proven drilling rig design with lower maintenance costs and less down time, the PTO Driven 2800 from SIMCO fits the bill.
The 2800 Deck Engine has versatile carrier options including a truck bed, a trailer or a set of tracks, making this configuration easily exportable. With an all hydraulic 2-speed drillhead capable of 4000 ft. lbs/200 rpm and a 7 ½ x 10 Centerline Mono piston mud pump, the deck engine 2800 is easily mounted to your existing vehicle and is just as versatile as the 2800 has always been. The PTO driven rig’s engine requires ultra-low sulfur fuel and exhaust fluid, but the deck engine uses a 71hp Deutz Turbo Diesel Engine that runs on standard diesel fuel.
